Training of a champion
Mariusz Pudzianowski’s motivation to become the world’s strongest man began when he was unable to lift a 12-year-old boy. The very same boy tried to lift him and he was able to do so, six inches above the ground. Mariusz was then inspired to work out and become the world’s strongest man.
Mariusz has achieved the world’s strongest man title through intense workouts, physical activities, and taking bodybuilding supplements. He follows a strict workout routine twice a day for five days a week. For Monday, his morning training inside the gym includes various set exercises like back squat, leg curl (for hamstrings), leg extension (for quads), pull up, chin up, behind-the-neck pulldowns, and barbell rows. His afternoon training includes sandbag carry, Conan's wheel, and tyre flips. For Tuesday, his activities in the morning include front squats, calf work, standing military press, and deadlifts. In the afternoon, he is doing Bushman's Walk, presses with machine used in competition, and parallel crucifix. For Wednesday, he does bench presses, barbell extensions, standing French press, powerstairs, and parallel stairs. These are just an overview of his training programme. His training session starts with 15 minutes of skipping rope and finishes with abdominal work. He also maintains and develops his strength by practising Kyokushin karate, boxing, swimming, and medium-distance running. He also has regular bodybuilding supplements like whey protein, testosterone boosters, and creatine.
Mariusz Pudzianowski’s training programme requires a demanding schedule and strict discipline that even his friends and fellow strongmen were having difficulty to following. People who aspire to become strong men must know that time and dedication are very important, but they should be aware of their limits.
