Mariusz Pudzianowski - The World's Strongest Man

The World's Strongest Man is a premier international competition facilitated by the World Class Events (WCE) at the end of September every year. Participants qualify based on top positions at the “World’s Strongest Man Super Series” events. There are times that contestants are invited based on the highest ranking in a particular national or international competitions. Mariusz Pudzianowski, an outstanding strength athlete, is the present title-holder of the World’s Strongest Man.

Mariusz Pudzianowski was born on February 7, 1977, in Biala Rawska, Poland. At the age of 12, he reached a turning point when he met a kid who could lift him up 6 inches in the air. He was so inspired that he began training when he was 13 years old, with a dream to become the World’s Strongest Man. He keeps his body very lean, giving him increased agility, endurance and speed. He is disciplined to follow his training routine that maintains his low body fat. Before he started his involvement in the strongman sports, he participated in bodybuilding, boxing, martial arts, weightlifting and powerlifting. He holds various strongman world records and has progressively improved over the years. Pudzianowski's achievements include: first place in the ESPN's 2003 World's Strongest Man Contest, fourth in 2003 Arnold’s Strongest Man, first in IFSA Super Series for 2003/2004, fourth in IFSA Super Series for 2002/2003, first in ESPN's 2002 World's Strongest Man Contest, and first in the 2002 Europe's Strongest Man.

Mariusz Pudzianowski is cherished in his native land of Poland and is considered a national hero for all his accomplishment in his sports.
