Amazing Events in World’s Strongest Man
The World's Strongest Man, produced in 1977, has developed as the leading episode in strength athletics. For almost 30 years, all the toughest and strongest men on earth have come in a sequence of exclusive and astonishing tests of power to conclude the World's Strongest Man. With the purpose of preventing a favouring of different participants, the events which have been used in each particular competition are different.
One event is the loading race, in which five weighty objects weighing 220-360 lbs are weighed down onto a truck bed or the same stand over a route of about 50 ft. Another event is the overhead press, in which the heaviest load is pushed above the head or for repetitions using a lighter weight. In the power stairs event, equipment is carried slowly with a sequence of duck walk to the top of the stairs. In the event known as the Keg toss, participants must toss 10 50-lb kegs above a 14'6" high metal barrier. In the car carry event, contestants must lift the vehicle for the longest distance or shortest point in time, while standing within a car with no roof, no bottom and embraced by a harness. Duck walk is an event in which contestants lift a 400lb pot hanging between the legs. Log throw event, an elongated log measuring five metres, is thrown over a bar or for a distance. Tug of war is an event for single elimination, while in pole pushing event, each of the contestants push the pole in a sumo style for single elimination.
These challenges will test the contestant’s power, strength and endurance.
