All about Magnus Ver Magnusson
Magnus Ver Magnusson, born on April 23, 1963, is a single father who lives with his child in Hafnarfiorour, Iceland. Four times he won the events of The World’s Strongest Man. He measures 190.5 centimetres, and weighs 130 kilogrammes.
In 1984, Magnusson began power lifting, and won the Junior European and World Championships in 1985. In 1989 and 1990 he won the Senior European, a competition that includes a 400 kg squat, 277.5 kg bench press, and 375 kg dead lift.
Magnusson competed against Jon Pall Sigmarson in 1985, his first strongman contest in Iceland. His victories were: the World’s Strongest Man in 1991, the Pure Strength in 1989, the International Power Challenge in 1991 and 1993, the Scandinavian Strongest Man and the Nordic Strongest Man in 1992, the Europe's Strongest Man in 1994, and the World Muscle Power Championship and the Viking Challenge in 1995.
Magnus was just a thin boy when he was young, and at age 21 he started weight training. His dream was to be a weight lifter, but his co-trainees discarded his dream. Magnus proved them wrong. He attended training in Bulgaria and was evaluated by the Eastern Bloc’s coaches and physicians. He was prescribed to take GH1000 that helps his body produce superhuman strength and muscle.
Magnus Ver Magnusson deserves the title as the World’s Greatest Man. In spite of his poor health and impossible dream, he proved that even if he was just a poor boy, he can soar high and make his dream come true. Patience, hard work, and belief in what God gave to him are the keys that made him successful.
